PA Chamber welcomes Lower Bucks Chamber to Harrisburg
Government Affairs staff provides legislative updates on hot-button issues such as health care and legal reform
The PA Chamber and state Sen. Robert Tomlinson, R-Bucks, hosted a legislative seminar with the Lower Bucks County Chamber of Commerce on Tuesday, May 6 in Harrisburg. The event offered updates on the latest issues of importance to business. The full day of events included informative sessions with state officials who spoke on topics such as health care, legal reform, transportation and energy.
PA Chamber Vice President Gene Barr addressed the group, citing the PA Chamber's positions and advocacy efforts regarding these hot-button issues. The chamber is continuing to tackle the issue of health care, targeting its efforts on enacting legislation that reduces the overall cost of health-care and expands plan options for businesses. The chamber believes that enacting commonsense legal reform would go a long way in achieving its health-care goals, as lawsuit abuse is one of the major health-care cost drivers.
