PA Chamber: Private sector job creation key to lasting prosperity
Healthy free enterprise system necessary for economic recovery, growth The economy is sending some signals that it is beginning to rebound from the worst financial crisis since the Great Depression. But for most Americans, true economic recovery will only occur when unemployment rates drop and job opportunities are readily available. So far, this is not occurring. The job growth needed to make up for those lost and to account for new entrants into the workforce must be a priority for federal and state lawmakers in 2010. The PA Chamber addressed this issue in a guest editorial that appeared in the Sunday, Jan. 3 edition of the Harrisburg Patriot-News.
