The PA Chamber is committed to ensuring that laws related to employment in the Commonwealth are fair, balanced and predictable. We oppose blanket, “one-size-fits-all” mandates that don’t take into account the unique industries, sizes, and financial circumstances that make Pennsylvania’s business community diverse. In this same vein, the PA Chamber also fights against government mandated wage hikes that lead to many unintended consequences, especially for small businesses.
In our mission to create a better business climate, the PA Chamber is committed to advancing legislation that encourages employers to locate and expand in the Commonwealth and attract new investment and jobs.
The PA Chamber is a leading voice against government mandated minimum wage increases. Nonpartisan studies have shown and businesses have reported that these “feel good” policies often lead to reduced employee hours, job loss and a higher cost for goods and services.
