2017 Fall Environmental Conference Series—ever-increasing risks and challenges for environmental compliance continue to present a major burden for businesses in Pennsylvania. To help companies succeed, the PA Chamber's 2017 Fall Environmental Conference Series will provide solutions to help navigate DEP bureaucratic processes, as well as recommendations on how to limit regulatory exposure for spills, waste and water requirements that nearly all businesses must comply with.

Top environmental experts, leading consultants and DEP officials will explain the most recent changes in these top environmental areas, help you understand the requirements, and provide the advice and practical solutions to help you develop and execute your company's environmental plan more efficiently and effectively:

  • Gain insight into the inner workings of DEP from Martin Siegel, who was the Assistant Counsel with DEP's Southcentral Office for 22 years before joining private law practice. In his first appearance at the Environmental Conference Series, Martin will discuss strategies on how and when to apply pressure when your company's request for permit approval is not moving fast enough.
  • Recent changes to PAG-03 (Industrial Stormwater General Permit) have led many businesses to ask for help in clarifying the directives. We are pleased to present a leading PA consultant, RT Environmental Services, who specializes on this issue to cover those areas causing the most confusion, and to provide explanations and practical advice.
  • Hear first-hand from companies expertly involved in responding to and cleaning up emergency environmental spills. Attendees will learn from new speakers at this year's Environmental Conference Series. Energy companies, a pharmaceutical company and a company that specializes in clean-up will explain the steps they take, their processes and what's involved— a different perspective than what has been presented in past conferences.
  • The Regional DEP Offices' Waste Program Managers will join attorney Mike Meloy to cover residual and hazardous waste. They will explain this often confusing and unique PA environmental issue, and answer your questions.

This program has been approved for PE, CLE, ABIH and CSP Continuing Education Credits. We look forward to seeing you at this full day of environmental management help and education!
