Formulating Your IT Security Strategy and Program—a strong IT security strategy is the foundation of a successful IT operation.  Developing security awareness programs, performing risk assessment and understanding the legal aspects of digital transactions are all key components of building an effective IT strategy for your organization.

Our presenters bring the most in-depth IT security management experience to explain the formulating of a practical strategy to keep your systems safe and secure.  They will cover the key elements, including tackling the weakest link in the information security chain -- the human element; how to properly identify weaknesses and be able to mitigate vulnerabilities before an attack occurs; and understanding the technology and the legal aspects to ensure that business transactions are handled properly and securely:

  • Developing and Implementing a Security Awareness Program—how to educate employees so they understand their role in security awareness; how to evaluate if your policies and processes are aligned with your program; and the importance of developing a culture of security awareness.
  • Overview of Risk Assessments, Vulnerability Assessments and Penetration Tests-- the three crucial steps to safeguarding your company’s systems and resources: Risk Assessment to provide the big picture on where potential vulnerabilities exist; Mitigation, including the necessary steps to implement your program and determining what risks are acceptable to the company and what risks are not; and Testing to verify you achieved what you want.
  • Digital Transactions and the Intersection of Technology and the Law—best practices to have in place to ensure the secure handling of important electronic business transactions; making certain that third party vendors are following the same security standards as your company; and an overview of the current digital legal landscape including recent court cases and rulings.
