Event Description

2019 Annual Environmental Conference & Trade Show—for those new to the environmental profession and for seasoned environmental directors, Pennsylvania’s premier environmental event will provide updates on the latest compliance information, and practical strategies on some of the most challenging and timely environmental issues—from major national areas of concern to state regulations—to help environmental managers in their day-to-day activities on the job:

  • The Environmental, Sustainability and Governance (ESG) Panel—more and more, Board of Directors and C-Suites are asking for measurements from environmental professionals to show that their companies have found a balance between financial returns, transparency, social interests and the environment. The panel will describe the highlights of ESG that have worked from their perspective, and will open up the discussion with the audience.
  • Sustainability Best Practices in Waste and Transportation—from the perspectives of a national waste management company (Waste Management) and a national shipping company (UPS), learn how they are driving sustainability with best practices and the latest technologies to take into account social, environmental and climate impacts, and move products faster, safer and cleaner.
  • Complying with the New Storage Tank Regulations—early in 2018, the Environmental Quality Board amended Chapter 245 relating to administration of the Storage Tank and Spill Prevention Program, with the changes going into effect on Dec. 22, 2018. The speakers will concentrate on the new mandatory changes with strategies for complying with the waste containment feature—both from a legal and enforcement standpoint, and will offer best practices for compliance.
  • Environmental Water Issues Compliance and Best Practices—environmental water regulations on both the national and state levels have been going through significant changes. One of the state’s leading authorities will cover the most recent proposed Clean Water Act changes and what this means for compliance, the latest update on industrial stormwater issues, NPDES permitting and inspection of point source discharge, and other water quality standard issues.
  • Understanding Residual Waste Compliance—Pennsylvania’s Residual Waste regulations continue to be some of the most confusing mandates for companies of all sizes. Renowned field experts will cover the definitions, how to ascertain which products your company produces as they relate to this law, reports you must prepare and submit to DEP, best practices for storing and transporting residual waste, and tips to better manage your in-house residual waste program.
