HARRISBURG - The Pennsylvania Chamber of Business and Industry is pleased to announce award-winning veteran journalist and Fox News Sunday host Chris Wallace as the keynote speaker for the 33rd Annual Chamber Dinner. The recipient of every major broadcast news award, including three Emmys, the Peabody Award and the Dupont-Columbia Silver Baton Award, Wallace will provide seasoned insights on current events and political affairs – including the new role of the media and the remarkable influence of technology on the presidency.
Following the keynote address, Wallace will moderate an in-depth conversation with former White House Press Secretaries Jay Carney and Dana Perino, who will reflect on their personal experiences serving as the primary spokesperson for Presidents Barack Obama and George W. Bush respectively, as well as their perspectives on the current administration’s approach to the media.
“This year’s dinner will build on our organization’s time-honored tradition of high quality and engaging speakers,” said PA Chamber President and CEO Gene Barr. “Last year’s historic election cycle signified a turning point in candidate-media relations. We’re excited to hear what our guest speakers, who have had a front row seat to national politics from different perspectives, will have to say about the current political landscape and the future of political journalism in an increasingly partisan environment.”
The dinner will take place on Monday, Sept. 18 at the Hershey Lodge. Dennis Owens, news anchor for abc27 news, will emcee the event.
