Secretary Nancy Walker and Chief Transformation Officer Ben Kirshner to Speak at Inaugural PA Chamber Engineering Summit on Sept. 4!

Pennsylvania is poised for engineering excellence, thanks to our world-class universities, skilled workforce, and leading employers. But to unlock this potential, we must address a growing challenge: a shortage of skilled engineers and the loss of talent to other states.

The PA Chamber’s inaugural Engineering Summit seeks to tackle this challenge by convening higher education, public, and private sector leaders for a series of panel discussions and open dialogue about building stronger workforce pipelines and partnerships.

That’s why we’re excited to announce that PA Department of Labor & Industry Secretary Nancy Walker and Chief Transformation Officer Ben Kirshner will join us to share how the Shapiro Administration is working with business leaders and elected officials to address these issues and build a stronger future for Pennsylvania during a morning keynote.

Join us on Thursday, September 4, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Lockheed Martin in King of Prussia. This dynamic event will bring together leaders from education, business, and government to:

  • Raise awareness about Pennsylvania’s engineering talent gap.
  • Strengthen connections between educators and employers.
  • Explore actionable solutions to retain skilled graduates in the Commonwealth.

Special thanks to our steering committee members—GFT, Lockheed Martin, RETTEW, and S&B Construction—for their leadership and support in making this event possible.

Let’s work together to secure Pennsylvania’s engineering future.
