HARRISBURG - With data breaches and malicious attacks from both external and internal sources continuing to be a top concern for information technology professionals and top management, the PA Chamber is proud to present its annual IT Security Conference on Wednesday, Sept 18. This year’s program will feature a keynote address by National Counterintelligence and Security Center Director William Evanina, who will discuss international cyber threats facing U.S. businesses.
“In this highly digital age and increasingly global economy, job creators are doing more and more of their business and internal data storage and processes online,” said PA Chamber President and CEO Gene Barr. “As a result, there is a constant need to be up to date on the latest security threats and how to combat them. We’re pleased to present a strong program featuring dynamic speakers who will help give employers greater insight into the important steps they must take to protect their data. Additionally, we’re honored to have Director Evanina speak to how his office is pushing back against the most serious cyber threats on the federal level.”
The event’s agenda also includes a segment by the Pennsylvania Attorney General’s office – which will focus on the most serious cyber threats facing the Commonwealth’s business community. The event will take place at Commonwealth Charter Academy in Harrisburg.
Media are invited to attend this event from 8:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. Additional information regarding the agenda is available here. Individuals interested in attending can register online on the PA Chamber’s website.
