ChamberPAC Issues Special Election and Primary Endorsements

HARRISBURG - ChamberPAC, the political arm of the Pennsylvania Chamber of Business and Industry, today issued endorsements for the State Supreme Court Republican Primary Election, as well as two upcoming legislative Special Elections.  The endorsements include: Judge Kevin Brobson for state Supreme Court; Chris Gebhard for the 48th Senatorial District; and Abby Major for the 60th House District.  The Special Elections are scheduled to coincide with Primary Election Day on Tuesday, May 18.

“The importance of voter participation in each and every election cannot be overstated,” said PA Chamber President and CEO Gene Barr.  “ChamberPAC is proud to endorse these well-qualified candidates who each bring their own unique experience to the table.  Judge Brobson will bring a fair and balanced perspective to the state Supreme Court. On the legislative front, Chris Gebhard and Abby Major will be strong pro-business voices in the halls of the state Capitol.  On behalf of the Pennsylvania Chamber’s broad-based membership, ChamberPAC urges voters to support Judge Kevin Brobson, Chris Gebhard and Abby Major in their respective upcoming elections.”

2021 Supreme Court Republican Primary – Judge Kevin Brobson

Brobson has served as a judge on the Commonwealth Court of Pennsylvania since 2010.  In 2020, he was elected by his colleagues on the court to serve as the 10th President Judge of the Commonwealth Court.  A lifelong resident of Pennsylvania, Brobson previously practiced law in the private sector – specializing in commercial litigation and administrative law.

Senate District 48 – Chris Gebhard

As a small business owner, Gebhard understands the challenges job creators face in the Commonwealth – which have only been exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic.  His top policy priorities include fighting back against burdensome tax increase proposals that will only hinder the state’s economic recovery.  The 48th state Senatorial District consists of Lebanon and parts of Dauphin and York Counties.

House District 60 – Abby Major

Most recently, Major served as the chief of staff to former state Rep. Jeff Pyle and is also a licensed funeral director/supervisor.  She previously served in the Armed Forces as an Army intelligence officer and was deployed to Iraq during Operation Iraqi Freedom.  Her prior experience has given her a strong understanding of how government and the private sector can work together to grow the economy.  The 60th state House District consists of Armstrong, Indiana and parts of Butler Counties.
