The PA Chamber has been recognized nationally for its efforts to strengthen Pennsylvania’s business climate. Last week, the PA Chamber was named the 2026 State Chamber of the Year by the National Association of State Chambers (NASC), which represents state chambers of commerce across the United States. This was the first time the PA Chamber was nominated or won the award. The award is the highest national honor for a state chamber and recognizes organizations that provide exceptional service to their members, effective public policy advocacy, and exemplary results within their state business communities. “This is a tremendous honor for our team and the more than 13,000 member businesses across the Commonwealth who power our mission,” PA Chamber President & CEO Luke Bernstein said in a statement Tuesday. “We are incredibly proud to be recognized on the national stage, and grateful to our dedicated members, partners, and leaders across the Commonwealth who have helped make this work possible.” The PA Chamber’s nomination was supported by political leaders across the Commonwealth, including Governor Josh Shapiro, U.S. Senators John Fetterman and Dave McCormick, PA Senate President Pro Tempore Kim Ward, and Speaker of the PA House Joanna McClinton – all of whom appeared in a video endorsing the nomination. “Under Luke Bernstein’s leadership, the Chamber has become one of the most respected and effective state chambers in America, doubling their investment membership, growing attendance at their events to record levels … and strengthening their organization in ways that position them to make a real difference throughout the Commonwealth,” Shapiro said. The award comes as the PA Chamber has continued to expand its role as the leading advocate for Pennsylvania’s business community. The PA Chamber’s work has produced significant results for employers and the state’s economy in recent years by advancing pro-growth tax reforms, championing permitting improvements, expanding workforce opportunities, leading on energy competitiveness, and building a stronger business climate. “The State Chamber of the Year award reflects what we can accomplish when Pennsylvania’s business community comes together with a shared vision for a stronger, more competitive state. I am so proud of our entire team for their tireless efforts and dedication in making this happen,” Bernstein said.
