Next week will bring two PA Chamber signature events, offering members opportunities to hear from influential voices in business, entertainment, and public policy. The week begins with the PA Chamber Annual Dinner on Oct. 5 at the Hershey Lodge, where more than 1,500 business leaders, elected officials, and community stakeholders from across the Commonwealth will gather for Pennsylvania’s premier business event. The evening will feature networking, celebration of the Chamber’s accomplishments, and a special fireside chat with Philadelphia native and internationally acclaimed entertainer, comedian, producer, and entrepreneur Kevin Hart. The following morning, PA Chamber Investor Members can continue the conversation at the fall Government Affairs Roundtable on Oct. 6 at the Hershey Lodge. The session, which will also be available virtually, will run from 9:00 to 11:00 AM, with registration and networking beginning at 8:30 AM. Akbar Hossain, secretary of policy and planning for the Shapiro administration, will open the program with an update from the governor’s office, including the administration’s priorities and key issues affecting Pennsylvania’s business climate. Sen. Scott Martin (R-Lancaster), chairman of the Senate Appropriations Committee, will provide a look back at this year’s budget negotiations and discuss what the final agreement means for employers and job creators. He will also offer his perspective on the policy challenges and opportunities facing Pennsylvania in 2027. The PA Chamber’s Government Affairs team will provide additional updates on the final weeks of the 2025-26 legislative session, the Chamber’s advocacy priorities, and the issues expected to shape the next legislative session. The discussion will also address election-year dynamics, giving business leaders an opportunity to hear directly from policymakers and ask questions about issues affecting their companies.
