PA Chamber Hosts Multiple Events During Budget Address Week

The PA Chamber hosted multiple events during an active week in Harrisburg.

On March 7, Chamber PAC, the political arm of the PA Chamber, hosted a breakfast honoring new members of the General Assembly. The event brought together Pennsylvania employers, business community advocates, and dozens of new legislators, as well as several members of the legislative leadership teams.

Later on Tuesday, we welcomed our Investor-level members to the PA Chamber offices for lunch and a live viewing of the governor’s budget address, followed by a discussion for members and the PA Chamber Government Affairs team to offer immediate reactions to the budget address.

Finally, on Wednesday, the PA Chamber welcomed Budget Secretary Uri Monson and Acting Revenue Secretary Pat Browne to the PA Chamber offices for our annual Budget Briefing. The secretaries provided a detailed breakdown of the budget proposal with an emphasis on elements of relevance to the employer community. The presentations were followed by a Q&A moderated by Vice President for Government Affairs Alex Halper.

We look forward to working with the legislature and the Shapiro Administration in the months to come on a fiscally responsible spending plan that moves Pennsylvania toward a brighter economic future.
