Allen Norton serves as the PA Chamber’s Workforce Development Executive where he is responsible for developing and implementing our workforce program designed to help close the skills gap in Pennsylvania. He meets with constituents and stakeholders across the Commonwealth including businesses, educators, other public/private entities and students at varying grade levels, and is charged with creating and maintaining partnerships that will make the program successful. Norton has a passion for workforce as is evidenced by his long and successful career in higher education. He spent his first two years in higher education working with non-traditional students before moving into Community & High School Relations where he focused on workforce development needs. For more than seven years his primary focus was on promoting trade, technical and health career programs at Harrisburg Area Community College. Norton holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Marketing, as well as an Associate’s Degree in Communications. He has been a Board Member with the Capital Region Partnership for Career Development, and he currently sits on several school district Chapter 339 Advisory Councils.
