Gretchen is the Events and Engagement Executive for the Chamber. She was born and raised in Harrisburg, PA and has strong roots in the community that she loves.
After attending Harrisburg Area Community College for Marketing, she hit the ground running with her career at a consulting firm, training software and strategic planning with children and youth agencies across the United States. Shortly after, she became a full-time stay at home mom for ten years. While home with her boys, now 13 and 14, she realized her passion for event planning and fundraising as the PTO President for four years at her boys’ elementary school. She was also named Director of Marketing and Community Outreach for two small businesses that she supported in the community. In 2018 she re-entered the full-time working world at HACC as the Executive Assistant to the Vice President. While there, she gained an extensive knowledge of planning and execution of corporate events. In 2020 during a collegewide reorganization, her position at HACC transitioned to Collegewide Event Coordinator for all five campuses.
In her spare time, she is a busy, and proud travel baseball mom, dog-mom to Sam the rescue beagle and an avid spin enthusiast. She also loves Delaware beaches, the summer months and can always be found bargain shopping!
