Bipartisanship Celebrated at PA Chamber’s Annual Legislative Leaders Breakfast

The PA Chamber’s annual Bipartisan House and Senate Leaders Breakfast continued its tradition of fostering collaboration among lawmakers and business leaders as part of Pennsylvania Society weekend in New York City.

Held at the New York Hilton Midtown, the event drew more than 350 attendees and featured remarks from Senate Republican Leader Joe Pittman (R-Indiana), Senate Democratic Leader Jay Costa (D-Allegheny), House Republican Leader Jesse Topper (R-Bedford), and House Democratic Leader Matt Bradford (D-Montgomery).

PA Chamber President and CEO Luke Bernstein opened the event with a reflection on the year’s legislative accomplishments, citing bipartisan successes in priorities including tax reform and permitting modernization.

“This year, we’ve eliminated our startup tax by improving the treatment of net operating losses and passed transformative permitting reforms to send a clear message to investors that Pennsylvania is open for business,” Bernstein said.

He also emphasized the PA Chamber’s work to make Pennsylvania the most competitive state in the nation to do business, highlighting how a thriving business environment is the key to building a more prosperous Commonwealth.

“When employers succeed, Pennsylvania succeeds,” Bernstein said. “A competitive business environment means more investment, more innovation, and more jobs. It also means higher wages, stronger communities, and more opportunities for every Pennsylvanian.”

The breakfast also included remarks from U.S. Senator-Elect Dave McCormick, who shared his perspective on federal initiatives that align with Pennsylvania’s economic priorities.

Throughout the morning, speakers highlighted shared goals for fostering a stronger Commonwealth, emphasizing the need for ongoing collaboration on workforce development, infrastructure investment, and regulatory modernization.

The Bipartisan House and Senate Leaders Breakfast has become a signature event of Pennsylvania Society weekend, highlighting the PA Chamber’s role as a bridge between the business community and lawmakers in Harrisburg and beyond.
