The PA Chamber was pleased to offer the broad-based business community a free webinar last week that offered details on the Paycheck Protection Program loans contained within the latest round of COVID-19 financial relief legislation and gave participants an opportunity to have questions answered on what this means for them and how they can gain access to financial aid.
The program featured an engaging dialogue and Q&A segment between PA Chamber President Gene Barr and U.S. Chamber of Commerce Executive Vice President and Chief Policy Officer Neil Bradley. Bradley discussed several important topics on which the U.S. Small Business Administration had issued guidance just hours prior to the event – including important changes to PPP guidelines, new employer eligibility for the program, the loan forgiveness process, the tax treatment of PPP loans, and more. Bradley also shared other important information with the virtual audience – including the opportunity for employers to access both the PPP and the employee retention tax credit that will last through the end of June to eligible employers and is worth up to $14,000 per employee.
Timely, helpful resources were also shared to help employers access loans were also shared with the audience.
