PA Chamber Hosts 2025 Health Care Summit in Camp Hill

Business leaders, policymakers, and health care professionals gathered in Camp Hill last week for the PA Chamber’s 2025 Health Care Summit, featuring a full day of panels and breakout sessions focused on emerging policy issues and solutions for addressing rising costs, workforce challenges, and rural access to care.

The event opened with remarks from PA Chamber President and CEO Luke Bernstein and Exclusive Platinum Sponsor Highmark Regional Vice President Jim Mackrell.

Tatiana Villa, regional director for Region 3 at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, opened the summit with remarks focused on federal health care priorities and the department’s engagement with employers.

Morning breakout sessions centered on two main topics: developments in federal health policy and employer strategies to reduce primary care costs, with panelists that included representatives from Sellers Dorsey, PwC, Vitable Health, Concentra, and Penn State Health.

Another panel featured employer representatives from Webco Industries, Signature Custom Cabinetry, and Messick’s Farm Equipment.

Afternoon breakout sessions, with speakers from the Independence Blue Cross Foundation, UPMC Health Plan, and the North Carolina Chamber Foundation, addressed workforce-related issues in health care.

A separate panel examined rural care challenges and how Artificial Intelligence and strategic partnerships may help improve delivery models, featuring panelists from Indiana University of Pennsylvania, Aerium, and the University of Pittsburgh.

The event concluded with a policy discussion moderated by PA Chamber Government Affairs Director Neal Lesher featuring Sen. Kristin Phillips-Hill and Lindsey Mauldin, deputy chief of staff to Gov. Josh Shapiro, which focused on bipartisan efforts to improve health care access and affordability at the state level.

“Health care policy doesn’t just impact providers — it also affects every employer trying to manage costs and support a healthy workforce,” Bernstein said after the event. “We are proud to host this conference each year to bring industry and government leaders together and help our members stay informed and prepared.”
