New Op-Ed: To Grow Again, Pennsylvania Must Compete

In a new op-ed published in Broad & Liberty, PA Chamber President and CEO Luke Bernstein makes the case that Pennsylvania policymakers can help create an economy that works for everyone by continuing to modernize our tax code, cut unnecessary red tape, lead on energy development, and focus on workforce training that prepares Pennsylvanians for the jobs of today and tomorrow.

Bernstein highlighted the PA Chamber Foundation’s recently released Keystone Initiative as the roadmap to make Pennsylvania more competitive, as it leverages data and best practices from other states to offer practical solutions.

“We have the resources, talent, and location to attract investment. But to do that, we first need to make it easier for businesses to say ‘yes’ to Pennsylvania. We need policies that will reward innovation, remove unnecessary barriers, and build a workforce ready to meet the demands of a 21st-century economy,” Bernstein wrote.

Bernstein built on the theme of making Pennsylvania more competitive when he delivered the keynote speech at the PA Press Club luncheon in Harrisburg earlier today.
