On #SupportYourLocalChamberDay, PA Chamber Touts Value of Local Chamber Partnerships

PA Chamber President and CEO Luke Bernstein has been visiting local chambers of commerce across the Commonwealth with a simple yet effective message – there’s leadership in partnerships. The PA Chamber team has long valued the partnerships we have with our local chamber partners for being the closest to the businesses in their communities and understanding their challenges as we work together to drive pro-growth policies forward in Harrisburg.

Last week, Bernstein was the keynote speaker at the Carlisle Chamber of Commerce’s Annual Meeting, where he urged local business leaders to engage with their local chambers – first, by recognizing the work they do to support their communities; and second, by making their voices heard.  He also spoke a few weeks ago at the LEAD conference with a group of local chambers in Northeast PA and gave a legislative update this past Friday at the PA Association of Chamber Professionals meeting in Gettysburg.

PA Chamber Vice President of Government Affairs Alex Halper, who is on the PACP Board of Directors, also attended last week’s PACP meeting. He manages key relationships with our local chamber partners and has given legislative updates this month at the Westmoreland County Chamber of Commerce and the Greene County Chamber of Commerce.

The recent local chamber appearances coincided with “National Support Your Local Chamber of Commerce Day” on Wednesday, October 19 – a day of acknowledging all that local chambers do to help business owners navigate complex policy challenges and grow and thrive in their communities.

During these conversations, the PA Chamber is celebrating the role that local chambers of commerce play in achieving major policy goals – including the Corporate Net Income tax reduction and other tax reforms that we celebrated this past summer in conjunction with the York Economic Development Alliance and the Lancaster Chamber. As our team continues to traverse the state, we’re urging local chambers to join us in achieving more great things, Together for PA, as we move forward with the shared mission of creating the strong, safe and economically vibrant communities we all deserve.
