Celebrating the Power of YOU was the theme of the PA Chamber’s Third Annual Women in Business Conference held last week at the Penn Harris Hotel in Camp Hill. Attendees gathered for a day of networking, leaning in and learning from some of the most empowering female business leaders in the Commonwealth during a series of keynote conversations and breakout sessions.

The day began with an inspiring morning keynote from Dr. Neeli Bendapudi, Penn State University’s first female president, who shared a unique story about her humble beginnings as a child in India and how her work ethic, and the belief in her capabilities she gained from her mentors, helped her achieve great things in both the private sector and her academic career. Breakout sessions helped attendees gain valuable insights from central PA-based business leaders and community builders; taught them how to avoid the “superwoman syndrome” of feeling the need to do it all; and embrace their inner strengths. The event concluded with a strengths-building exercise with Annie and Andy Hughes of Hughes Coaching and Consulting.
