PA Chamber Educational Foundation, PA Bankers Association Annual Economic Forecast and Business Leadership Summit to Feature Retired U.S. Navy Commander Mary Kelly

Harrisburg – The PA Chamber Educational Foundation and the Pennsylvania Bankers Association (PA Bankers) will present the Ninth Annual Economic Forecast and Business Leadership Summit at the Hershey Country Club on Tuesday, April 5. This year’s program will feature a keynote address from Retired United States Navy Commander Mary Kelly on “How to Lead and Thrive During Uncertainty.”

Commander Kelly is a graduate of the United States Naval Academy and spent more than 20 years on active duty, working in intelligence and logistics. She holds masters’ degrees in history and economics, and a PhD in economics.

With over 20 years combined teaching experience at both the Naval Academy and at Hawaii Pacific University, she taught economics, finance, history and management. She has extensive experience in business coaching, management, economics, finance, banking, insurance, real estate, government, organizational leadership, communication, business growth, teamwork, strategic planning, human resources, customer service, time management, and project development.

The summit’s agenda also includes an economic forecast from state and federal perspectives. Pennsylvania Senate President Pro Tempore Jake Corman, R-Centre, will provide an overview of the economic challenges currently facing the Commonwealth. Dr. Lindsey M. Piegza, Managing Director and Chief Economist for Stifel, Nicolaus & Company, Inc., will discuss the challenges facing businesses from a national perspective and share upcoming economic trends that directly impact our business community.

“As we continue to emerge from the pandemic, economic growth is the key to our recovery,” said PA Chamber President & CEO Gene Barr. “This year’s agenda aims to give employers an outlook on key trends that will impact our state’s economic recovery in the coming years.”
